Event Description:
This is a 10 Hour Class, held over 2 days.   The course is geared to train safety directors, job foremen and field employees in OSHA construction standards. It highlights the areas of major safety concerns, with the intent to reduce accidents on the job site, saving time and money. Each person completing the course will receive a copy of the OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1926 and an OSHA-10 certification card. Every person working on a municipal or state construction project with a total project cost of $100,000 or more must have card certifying their completion of an OSHA 10-Hour training program on their person at all times while work is being performed. This requirement includes "any private person or entity bound by a contractual agreement to provide goods or services to a contractor/developer who must physically enter the place where work is being performed or business is being conducted". This does not apply to sales representatives, vendors, or to those delivering building materials and supplies/products to a construction site. (Fines can range from $250 to $950 per offense, on each day in which a violation occurs.)
